STAINLESS STEEL LATERAL RASP
In the precision manufacturing project profiled here, B&J Medical was contracted to fabricate a graft funnel; a part used during the repair of complex bone fractures. Advanced in house 5 axis CNC milling equipment was used to machine 17 - 4 stainless steel to meet exacting proportions. The tightest tolerances of ± 0.001” were held throughout fabrication, and the part was fully dimensionally and visually inspected to ensure quality and accuracy.
Final measurements of the graft funnel were a length of 1.63" and a width of 1.34". 7 graft funnels were constructed for this project after a turnaround time of 6 to 7 weeks. Customer specifications as well as the standards required by the ISO 13485 code were met.
